Maybe if I find my address, Dad can send me some euros for coffee.

Starbucks here is very Americanized. The only spanish things about it are the baristas and the prices. 2,15€ para un cafe americano. I think that makes my $1.80ish bebido closer to $3 if you take into account the exchange rate.

The first day my señora met me, my running shoes were tied to the outside of my backpack because I couldn´t fit them in. Now, she always asks me if I´m going running. My issue with it is that besides not knowing where I´m going, the streets are very narrow with little or no sidewalk. And people drive so fast here.

I didn´t think my señora liked me, but we chilled out last night and she doesn´t even care that I don´t like fish. I interviewed her for class and her favorite movie is Ghost.

Today my roommate and I woke up at 7:30ish so we could get to school early. It´s about a 15 minute walk. Not bad. There are 8 computers here, and about 50 or 60 kids in the program, so I always feel too rushed to say much.

Class starts at 10 am and goes until 1:30 pm. It´s mostly a review of things I don´t remember from high school. Except, I do remember them, I just can´t process it fast enough in my head to make my mouth say it correctly.

We eat lunch at 2:30 and that´s when it hits that time goes by fast- it seems like it should be only noon. Places are closed then for siesta, and people really do take them. After siesta we can pretty much do whatever we want till dinner. dinner at 9:30 pm. I didn´t take a siesta yesterday, but went to buy my books and a hair drier and to put minutes on my phone.

My suitcase is in Malaga. I don´t know why. And I don´t really think I´ll ever get it. We have a trip there this weekedn and I might have to just go get it myself. I´ve been wearing my northface everyday because it´s been chilly. I´m such an American.

I have to go. I´´ll try to get addresses and phone numbers to you soon.

More another time.

TTYL :)

Even though you give us some thoughts on-line, I think that you should also keep a written personal journal to record your time this summer. It will give you an enjoyable reference for years to come.

Does your program take you on trips? Where else do you get to go? How long are you going to stay?

Buy yourself a sun dress from a vendor or something. Buy psotcards that you like and send them to your family. We will save them for you to have in your scrap book.

i get so excited to read your blog! i just got back online tonight and love hearing about your trip! my advice on the journal is to keep it, but pretend like you're writing it to someone. it makes it easier somehow... also, write down the NAMES of the places you visit and see. i didn't do that in italy and i regret it now because i have no idea what i saw or did. (not really NO idea, mom and dad) buy a super cute sundress that you can wear when you get here for the wedding! i made our hair appts. and you are getting your haircut on wed. afternoon because they serve free wine from 5-6 for happy hour! you'll feel like you're still overseas! love!
