This is my 100th blog entry!

Friday night was fun because there was a party at school to say goodbye to all the people leaving after the first session. Saturday I did Córdoba.

Had I looked at a map when my roommate suggested we go to Córdoba, I probably would have said no. However, at the time I had been talking about how nice a beach I had gone to was so when she said "Córdoba is supposed to be pretty," I assumed she was talking about a beach.

Córdoba is not a beach and is an old town and there is no young life there and nothing to do. It is famous for its Mesquita, which is just a really old, huge, and beautiful mosque. I´m sort of glad I saw it, but I´m actually going back for a class I´m taking in the next three weeks about different cultures. So in reality, that just made it even worse I didn´t get to a beach.

That took an hour. After that we ate an early lunch (noon). The girl who bought tickets bought early arrival and late departure so we could have more time in the city. Visited some gardens for an hour or so and after that everything was closed for siesta. So we went to a cafe for two hours and had some coffee and talked.

Then we hit up a synagogue and a local art museum where one of the girls was upset because there were no names or pieces she recognized. duh. another cafe. lots of walking around.

We never actually picked out a place to eat a dinner because we kept saying we´d find something we liked better on the way back to the train station. Finally we decided to just go to the station early and eat there. And all the places at the train station were closed, so clearly, no.

It was a very long day. There were four of us. We get along but kind of get on each others nerves, but it was an okay day for us.

Today, we started getting sick of each other. We took a day trip tio Cadiz with all the new students who are here for the second session. We went to another cathedral, saw some gardens....nothing new. Finally got the beach for a few hours in the afternoon. The water was really fun and not too cold but it was nice to just bake in the sun. People who do not wear spf are crazy!!!

Tonight people are going to a popular nightlife area for americans that is just so far away from my house, so i don´t know if i´ll go yet. Class tomorrow isn´t until noon, so I´m Considering running. We´ll see.

Have a great week everybody!

TTYL :)

even i wear spf now! i'm going to pretend i am in spain this week because it is going to be about 90 this week. you know, my first week of summer vacation? i am actually working a few hours each day for the lady at the training studio i used to work at. she broke her foot and can't train, so i thought i'd work a few hours (so i can get you extra special bridesmaids gifts). i had a shower today put on by matt's famiy and friends, and it was really nice. it's still awkward to be sitting there and having everyone watching you open things, but they are all very nice. i'm going to try and pick out paint for us to paint our house. i have lots of wedding things to do, so i just need to make a list and start doing it. all of these things i told myself i would do when school is out need to be done. going to noelle's wedding was a good thing for me. however, it did make me feel like i have a lot to do! i am very worried about the next six weeks (less actually) will go too fast.
i really look forward to reading the blog, and hope you are having a good time!
