Hello

It might seem like a long time since my last entry, which was Sunday night, and now it´s Wednesday morning. So, yeah, it´s been two days, but two days during which nothing happened.

I´ve just been getting up and coming to class. Siesta-ing. Eating. Reading the Count of Monte Cristo. My roommate thinks I´m a nerd because I´m either reading or doing crossword puzzles in my free time...

We went to Mass at the big Cathedral here last Thursday morning. It was decent, except we were late so we didn´t actually see the whole Mass. But we got communion. Most everyone took it on their tongue and one of my friends commented that it´s very old fasioned to do that and only older people do that in the States. I can think of someone who still takes the host on his tongue. Why wouldn´t you?

My class is divided into two parts ...half lecture, half tour.

Yesterday class was not at the designated time and the tour was to be at 3:30 and we were to meet at the archeological museum we visited last week. Needless to say I took a long cut, missed the meeting point, walked around a park I believed to be the location of the tour for 45 minutes before looking at my syllabus to find out where the real tour was and got there too late and passing no one on the way. So, I missed class. But, I mean, I got a lot of exercise as the meeting place is quite the walk from my casa.

Mail from Dad, Mom and Susan all this week. Thanks :)

I declared a Spanish minor on ISIS today (you can do that now) and the site should update and tell me what requirements I still have to fulfill.

More later, maybe, I have to get to class.

TTYL :)

Susan and I did a Whitey's run last night. What's the Sevilla answer to a waffle cone?

i just finished reading the historian. it's over 600 pages, and i started it sunday night. i'm a dork, too and mainly read or do crosswords in my free time. i really liked the book, but i hear susan had a tough time getting into it. i like the historical stuff, and think you'd like it, too. i did get freaked out a few times. the story is about dracula.
i kind of feel like the bad sister because i haven't sent a lot of mail. i try to post to your blog; it's like instant gratification. i also worry that you wouldn't get something from me before you went off with susan if i sent it now.
the next book i am going to read is about the search for john wilks booth, the guy who shot lincoln. it's more historical fiction. apparently there was a 12 day manhunt for him afte the assination, and that's what the book is about. i like when authors take a little creative freedom with history. it makes it much more interesting for me even though it may not be 100% factual.
it was about 90 here today, and i drove over to st. paul, the grand avenue area, to run an errand and sat at a coffee shop and read for an hour or so. i liked being in that area again; it was a beautiful day.
i am slowly cleaning the house for my visitors this weekend, but i have hesitated to clean too early in the week because it would just get dirty again! i did clean up the 5 day...you can kind of walk in it. when you come, kristen, it will be totally full to the brim with wedding stuff. i am nervous about all of the things mom and susan are talking about bringing.
wish i had more exciting news for you. i do like this idea of summer vacation for the rest of my life, though....
