This afternoon I bought my train ticket to Madrid. 10€ and some odd cents with the Eurail pass. I hope to God I don´t lose that...
I think the ticket was upwards of 70€ alone.
Did Mary get a Eurail pass?
I´m excited about this puzzle book. It´s probably still a little out of my league, but hey, what can you do? I´m finishing up that book I borrowed from my neighbor and grabbed one from a shelf at school they keep for used books available for adoption.
Adoption. Could my señora "adopt" anymore kids? Probably no. It´s like a boarding house there. The french kid, Antoine (sp?) speaks no english or spanish. And is very rude. Like, last night Mercedes went to invite him in the living room where the AC was on. He shut the door in her face. While she siesta´d on the davenport, he went in her room. Weird. He doesn´t even look people in the eye when they talk and he gets up from the dinner table while everyone else is still eating. He says "no" to everything, but my suspicion is that he means he doesn´t understand because he often contradicts himself then with his actions.
I mean, it has to be scary living somewhere for two weeks and not being able to communicate with anyone. But he doesn´t even say he doesn´t understand or sorry in french. Or thank you. We all know that one.
Mercedes called the school today to tell them that she thinks he´s autistic. I´m not sure if that´s the case, but it´s un poke (un poco = a little) hilarious.
Back to "un poke." American kids here think my abbreviations are pretty hilarious, especially in spanish. "A la derecha" means "to/on the right". Basically I use all sorts all the time because they are more fun in spanish than english. However, I´m convinced that any spanish speaker has no idea what I´m talking about, if they had any sort of clue in the first place.
I´m shopping for souvinirs and maybe some jewelry tomorrow, pending on my health. I haven´t been feeling too hot. Bad headaches, soooooo unbelievably achy you´d think I was older than Dad. Honestly, I didn´t think I could sit up in bed this morning. Sore throat. Feeling better though, and not going out because I want to be fully restored for travel NEXT WEEK!!!!!!!!!!
Now, about that toe...
love you, miss you!

I just booked us on a tour of the Vatican on the 14th (Saturday). They say if you have a tour on Saturday then you don't have to wait in the huge line to buy tickets... And you get a 3 hour guided tour. Although, I'm sure our commentary would be just as exciting, if not as informative...
I will be missing out on your visit to the vatican, but i booked the places in venice and florence. if we can only find a place to stay in innsbruck, we're pretty much set... and yes, i ordered a eurail pass... although i don't think it's here yet...
Harry opens in Italy on July 13th...
