So. Basically.
1. I'll vouch that it's hard to beat Tahoe. I like seeing sights occasionally, but I'll take family vacay any day.
2. Katie, I cannot speak (slash write) for Mary and Susan, but I will do everything within my abilities to not be too much of an inconvenience for you on the road to bliss. Also, upon careful consideration, I have decided that if it just comes down to it and you can't play a song, I would understand and be okay with the elimation of Toto's Africa from the list. Well, maybe you could just put it in the back. As long as we hear some Third Rock and Jovi I know the party will be A+.
Actually, maybe just A- unless dad gives an update on the wine selection process....
Anyway, Venice was beautiful. We did the gondola thing (very romantic, as far as gondola rides with your sisters go. Actually, I don't think it'd be that romantic anyway. Kind of awkward with the rower-guy there and everything).
Also, lots of shopping. Still haven't made a big purchases yet. Unlike some people on this trip. And I was//am desperately hoping for sunglasses but they are too expensive!!!
Two things:
1. Why aren't I rich?
and 2. Why don't I have any fashion sense?
(do you like my use of numbers AND parentheses (sp?) in this entry?!)
Sigh. I know you think I'm joking, but really, IT IS SO HARD TO BE ME!!!
I have to say, Florence (Flo, I like to call her) has been a bit of a disappointment. I mean, we waited for an hour and a half to see David, which was very cool (there are fakes everywhere and they just don't come close to looking as good). And today two hours were spent to get into some museum I don't know the name of it. But it had the Birth of Venus and Primavera, two famous works (that I liked a lot) by Botticelli.
Actually, the site of the museum was built by the Medici family (you know, the banker who basically ruled Forence back in the day...a few became popes..) to house all the works they had commissioned. I recalled a lot of names (Cosimo, Lorenzo, Giovanni etc) from AP Euro Hist in high school. Actually, I knew that the Botticelli works would be in Flo and that Brunelleschi designed the dome on the church here. Basically, I felt as smart as Susan. Thats what celeb histopardy games in high school history do for ya...
Tonight we actually shopped for knock off items. Turned guys down because their knock offs weren't good enough. Then sought out the location of other counterfeits. I wanted glasses, afterall. The best is when the cops come and they take their blankets and run away.
Tonight we ate at a real restaurant. I went for the classic spaghetti, but I feel more than fairly confident that Dad would much prefer the dish from Biaggi's. It beat sitting at a snack cafe. The issue is, we usually get up so early that we're hungry early and they eat late here. I'll tell ya what though, I need some desert.
Gelato today was good. Very rich. Still can't beat Whitey's strawberry, but I keep on trying (when it comes to ice cream, I'll always give it the old college try).
Mary leaves tomorrow. LBH, I'm a little jealous. I want to come home soon. I am enjoying this trip, we have a lot of fun, we are fun girls. But...I miss home. And my cell phone.
Kind of excited that I don't have to get up before 7 (or 6) in the morning.
I'm sure I'll be back online before long.
Love you, miss you :)

Good luck on your travel day.
The wine list is in. Pinot grigio and sangeovese for the social hour. Chardonaay and cabernet for din-din.
i loved your use of numbers and parentheses in this entry. brilliant!
i remember a lot of the places you are mentioning in flo. i think that because we were part of organized tours with school we missed a lot of the lines. when we were at the david museum there was some guy filming a rap video outside. kind of random.
if you haven't made a big purchase, there are lots of opportunities in rome. i remember great shopping...visit the spanish steps. i don't know if you'll be able to afford some of the shops over there, but i think i got a cross necklace from a store near there.
i spent an hour yesterday separating red m&m's from the pink and white ones to put the pink and white ones into bags for guests. i didn't even get halfway done. mom thought we were just going to put the whole m&m bag into the hotel bags. wouldn't that be classy...a bag of valentine m&m's! LOL
i'm already praying for your flights home to get her on time:)
Your European History teacher would be happy to here that all that informations he tried to teach you was fun to recall. Random facts always make a person feel knowedgable.
The red M&Ms can go into Dad's hospiality suite, not Katie's mouth! Katie is a very slow sorter if it is taking her this long, and she isn't even counting them out!!! What will she do when she has to divide candy for Chrismas stockings and Easter Eggs!
