Hi guys-
It's kind of late (not really!) but I can't think of anything to blog about. I'm suffering from procrastination major - I don't want to do any homework! I like the idea of staying on top of things and getting good grades, but I just can never get into the study mode.
Tonight we had an educational after meeting. Self-defense against rapists//attackers. Learned some suite moves to pull if anyone decides to take me down. Somehow, I just can't believe someone is going to attack me - the hugest woman in Theta. I carry my pepperspray when I go out at night, especially hanging out with my high school buddies because none of them come back in my direction so I have to come alone. Even though their all guys, probably it doesn't occur to them to walk me home because I'm bigger than all of them anyway. Almost. Usually if it's midnight or earlier, I call Mom and talk to her the whole way, but they say that's bad because you are distracted. But not really because I'm looking around the whole time.
At the end, the guy who was doing this sold "the best pepperspray ever" because it's the kind park rangers carry and yatta yatta yatta. Everyone bought some. it cost $18 for one, $35 for 2, and $10 for each additional. I ended up buying 6 - to be reimbursed by Meredith and Lindsay. They were appalled that I didn't buy Mary some (they never asked why I didn't want any) even though she already has some because it's not as strong as this. I figure Mary and I can use up what we've got before we purchase more pepperspray. I mean, it's important to be safe, but it was kind of a scam.
I have some work to finish this week, but mostly editing, not shooting. It's also a big philanthropy week (volleyball, again) but I think I might play if I have the time. Even though I'm the least coordinated person ever.
And of course, finding time to work out. Because I want to. I think it might be too soon to commit to even a half. It seems that the goal is what discourages me from running - I feel like it's something I have to do then, and I'm not doing it because I feel good. We'll see.
TTYL
PS Thanks for the blanket and sheet, Mom. I love it when people see that I have a package and ask what it is and I show them my blankets. Mary is so jel.

I carried pepperspray all through college and no one once tried to attack me. I know people got attached on the OU campus - so is it an insult that no one thought I was worthy of attaching, or should I just feel lucky to be alive?

Work continues to get worse by the day. I left for a little while this morning to cry. They like to walk all over me. Basically the new girl doesn't want to do her job and her boss agrees she shouldn't have to do the job she was hired to do. So they gave her responsiblities to me. Because they know I am a team player and will step up to the plate when needed. Basically they just walk all over me.

So tonight I am going to do all my laundry (I go to Florida on Thursday until Monday!), watch season 2 of the Office, and rewrite my resume. I talked to our events girl today and she said she would give me rave reviews if I used her as a reference. There is a job online for Bloomingdales in the Visual Merchandise department at the Michagan Ave. store, so I might apply. If nothing else it will get the ball rolling again.

I would reply more to what your blog was about, but I'm at work and I have been distracted a lot while writing this and have forgotten what this one was about - they all run together in my head. Sorry. It was entertaining when I read it though : )

The concept that goal setting is a negative incentive is ludicrous.
