I spent most of my morning looking for my car keys. After a few hours of sort of looking, sort of watching TV, I decided to just walk to the library. Less than a block away I remembered I had left them under the lid to the gas tank for my roommate.

While sorting through things in my room looking for the keys, I misplaced my phone. Later found it in the pocket of my bathrobe.

Now, I'm sure it's been blogged about over at 4000 Days, and I'm not trying to steal ideas, but I do wonder how much time I will have accumulated of just looking for stuff by the end of my life.

I called Wells Fargo on Friday about a misplaced credit card. My online records showed it hadn't been used in 10 days and I had no idea where it was (except that it was not in my wallet). They say they put a 72 hour stop on the account and then mail a new one.

So, after I found my credit card this morning (while looking for my keys) I called them up and said don't send the new one. I was told be two different representatives that while the new card has not been sent, the old account could not be reopened. So I have to wait for a new card in the mail.

Further, the representatives did not appreciate that I wanted to change my mailing address from home to here at school. Changing my address right now is actually risky because with Thanksgiving just around the corner, I will only be in Iowa City another week and could possibly miss the new card in the mail as they say it takes 7 - 10 days to get here via snail mail. Even if I am here to receive it, I will only have it a couple days earlier than if I had it delivered home. On top of that, I will now get my bill, not Mom, so she will no longer remind me to pay it on time.

But I changed it because I think those two days will make a difference. I am running my checking account dry. But at least I will have a low credit card bill next month.

Hopefully. I need some new skinny jeans to wear with my new boots...

i'm sorry, did that sound like an idea for a christmas or birthday present? if you find a pair you like, you should share that information with others because you'd probably rather have two pair you can wear than just one.

the cell phone in the bathrobe is comical...almost as good as losing it on kimberly road. :)
