I'm really looking forward to daylight savings time next week.

I'm loving the internship. If I can stay there through the summer I will in a heartbeat. However, I'm still applying for other things. Most recently I've been in touch with a CSPAN contact in D.C. A big city would be great and I definitely could use a change of scenery. However, my internship now is very hands on - I basically get to be a reporter - and I know at a larger outlet I would be answering a lot of phones and doing more research.

Last night, Mary and I joked (through Gmail, obviously) that I should have some headshots taken. Seems a little extreme, but anyone who wants to be a reporter should have a resume tape. This would include several stand-ups and then several packages. So, I suppose, employers might not need the headshots if they can see what you look like on camera.

I should have had a resume tape at the end of my class last semester, but two of my peices didn't turn out as I would have liked. I will have one by the end of the internship. Scripts for everything are also included.

Sometimes I wonder why I'm doing PHC, it's a very thankless jobs. As most leadership positions are. I'm finding most chapter members don't feel they need me (they do, they don't even get it) and especially in my own chapter, I'm having some respect issues. In short, a lot of members on our executive board think that they are better than everyone else, thus think that all the other chapters and PHC dislike our chapter. I can't say if other chapters like us or not, but with PHC, the only issue I have is if they respect what we're doing and follow the rules. And go figure, they don't.

I suppose this is a specific problem for me because I am running a three hour risk management retreat this weekend and have been having a difficult time getting people to come with out whining.

The girl in my old position told me, as she rolled her eyes, that I better not be wasting her time.

The president, who RSVP'd she would come was confused about the dates and can no longer attend.

I said, "Send someone in your place."

She said, "I feel pretty confident our risk management is under control."

I said, "You should send someone in your place."

We'll see.

I'm very not involved in my chapter this spring because of my busy schedule. I have class during our weekly meetings, and other time commitments prevent me from just hanging around the house very often.

This is okay because I see the girls I like enough and have fun when we do hang out. Also, all the girls on PHC and boys on IFC get along very well and I've been having a fun time getting to know them. We had a great time in Chicago last weekend and I'm looking forward to hanging out again.

Anyway, the only reason I blogged is because my professor is 50 minutes late to class. Personal emergency or something. He's here now.

My friend from the dorms is in this class with me and we are going to eat at the BMP for wing night tonight.

Go Hawks!

TTYL :)
