Hello.

I purchased the Reba: Duets last week. There's a little something (and a lot of Reba) for everyone:

Dad - Ronnie Dunn, Vince Gill. Classic Favs. Just like Reba.

Kate - Rascal Flatts, Faith Hill. you LOVE faith hill. She's a Mississippi girl.

Soo - JT. Kelly. You cannot go wrong with either of those two. Well, except maybe with Kelly's latest album. Kelly can go wrong. However, she's in the clear because Reba cannot do any wrong.

Mary - Trisha Yearwood. Kenny Chesney. Actually, I don't know how much you like Ken on a scale from 1 to 10 (probably you like Trisha as an 8.729) but you've seen him in concert about a hundred times so that has to count for something.

Mom - Carole King and Don Henley. I choose these for you because they are the least country. Also, Carole King is practically a Gilmore Girl because they picked her song for the theme song and you watch that show. Or used to. But you do watch a lot of tv. And who doesn't like a good Eagles song? I even checked out their greatest hits album from the public library before I bought the Reba CD. However, I don't know if I like them enough to invest money in them.

Mary - Also, you get LeAnn Rimes on account of I didn't want to leave her out. I bought you a LeAnn Rimes cd "You Light Up My Life" for your birthday when I was like, 12, because not only do you actually light up my life, but it had "How do I live" on it and I had the impression you were obsessed with that song. And, if that's true, probably you were obsessed with the Trisha Yearwood version because you LOVE her. Just like Kate LOVES the Mississippi girl (and how could you not? She don't change her ways just 'cause everybody knows her name! so modest!)

FYI This is Reba's FIRST (hard to believe, I know) number one album. She's on top and has out sold Kanye and 50. Ha.

I'm bringing it home with me this weekend. If you want a copy, let me know. I'd be happy to share the Reba.

TTYL :)

if you haven't seen faith's song for sunday night football you're really missing out. she's in all black stomping around on a fake stage and looks like a giant. no joke. she's much better off being a mississipi girl. fyi matt's new favorite song is that annoying one by colby colae (or however you spell her name). next time you hear it and are ready to change the station because it's so irritating, imagine matt singing it and how much MORE irritating that would be. it might help you get through.
p.s. we just got done reading the crucible, and in the final discussion, the most common response to the play was that it was "boring"-isn't that descriptive-and one girl didn't like it because it was about history and she doesn't like reading about things that actually happened. hmmmmm.....something to think about.

I check this site everyday, and was pleasantly surprised by the new entry. You need to feed us your stuff more often.

Mom and I saw Reba perform live at the old Masonic Temple in Davenport at least 25 years ago. She was the opening act for The Statler Brothers. I remember seeing her in one of the higher up stairway/concourse areas signing autographs after her performance.

Those tickets were probably $25-35 and we thought they were expensive.

I expect a copy of the reba CD when i'm in town this weekend. Thanks for giving me the Leanne song, too. That was really thoughtful of you.

P.S. the crucible is boring and i never even finished the first chapter. you should have your class reading No Exit by Sartre. I think your kids would like existentialism. and at the very least, they would probably have a lot to say about the lesbian. Or Waiting for Godot.. Also a good one. They aren't that hard either.

the crucible is NOT boring! maybe because you never got past the first ACT, not chapter-it is a play-you didn't find it enjoyable. and it's not the content that is necessarily the problem....it's the illiteracy.
