Admittedly, I didn't watch the Hawkeyes tonight. I had a full day of class and work and working out and cleaning my room up, still.
I was vaguely listening to the game while i was on the treadmill, but mostly talked with Mary. working out with her was fun, but i think we're going to work on a more concrete schedule for lifting and workouts. clearly, we'll follow a schedule for that half marathon we're going to try, you know, the one no one in our family things we can do. we just need to get into shape right now. so i'm working on something. katie, we're open to suggestions. Mary wants to sculpt her arms. I want to fit in my clothes :)
Also, Katie, did any of your students try out for American Idol? I didn't watch much, but passing through the living room I saw they were holding auditions in the Twin Cities.
I don't know how I made it through my teenage years with out a big-girl-sized blanket with ribbon and my name stiched on it. And I'm listening to my ipod right now on my ihome radio and i just am making excellent use of all my presents, so thanks, guys!!
and granny, i don't really believe in santa, clearly it's the fam that pulled through.
tonight, while cleaning my room I found a christmas card i got from dad a few months ago. It's a snowy outdoor scene with some cardinals sitting on a fence. the inside says "may you and all you hold dear// at home and far away("minneapolis!" written nearby)//be blessed with love and with christmas ("with christmas crossed out" peace in the new year ("the new year" crossed out and repaced with "Iowa City").
oh, and on the front, by the cardinals, he wrote "same birds as on the envelope! sweet!!"
First of all, that's hilarious. Second, I know I thought "oh, same birds as on the envelope" before i read what he wrote.
ttyl :)
