Day 05

I would just like to say that I think I'm getting more cynical everyday and I don't think it's right for my normal mood to be described as irritated. This better change once schools out.

Woke up bright and early this morning for River Run. Pretty good turn out for a 5k /10k on a rainy day. I read splits for the 6 mile marker in the rain. At least I got a new t-shirt out of it.

I went to LC and finished up some work this afternoon nd was able to study at the same time, so I supposed that's productive.

At least I had a good workout. Saw Mary for the first time all weekend at Fitness East tonight. She was making fun of me for going slow, but it was only a warm up, and I did 3 miles in 28 minutes. No world records or anything, but the fastest time yet. I was debating doing another mile, but I decided to lift since no one was there to watch me. I mean, who lifts at 10:45 PM? Guarentee Kate was//is sleeping. I did one set of curls before someone came over. So clearly I went upstairs and did the machines, which I like better anyway. I had time to do 3 lifts for legs and 3 for arms, 2x10 for each since no one else was there. I wish Coach Mo was there, not that Kate isn't qualified, but he has this BFS program that I was passively involved in my first semester of junior year. And by passive I mean that I didn't do anything and so on max-out day he asked me how much I squated, so I told him 100. And he just looked at me, so I told him I really meant 105. Evidently thats not very much. I love that story. At least he didn't care. Probably he would have let me skip fitness testing senior year...

Right. So it was a decent work out. Fitness East closes at 11 so even though I had the energy, I didn't have time to do another mile.

Now I'm just going to bed.

Today's Mileage: 3 miles
Week's Mileage: 3 miles
Total Mileage: 13 miles

152 Days till race day!

PS Happy May Day - I can think of at least two birthdays coming up! :)

I planted hostas and cleaned out a drain pipe on the house. I suppose carrying the ladder was execise... and bending for planting. I take the week end off from my workouts... Don't let anyone intimidate you when lifting, just think how we look at curves and know you are doing better. Good luck on room pick

i opted to do the stepmill today. it is equally as evil as running, and it offers a little variety to the workout. missy and i are going 9 or 10 tomorrow since we didn't get the long one in over the weekend. i was lifting tonight around 4:30 and had to fight all the beefcakes for the weights. my advice is to just walk around like you know what you're doing. who knows, some guy might take notice and ask you out. i met all my men at the gym;) and i was definitely sleeping last night at 10:45.
